Whether you’re travelling as a family, a couple, or just chasing sunsets and turquoise water, these five beaches are local favorites — and all just a short drive from our apartment.
1. Golden Bay
Golden Bay is one of Malta’s most iconic beaches, known for its soft golden sand, shallow blue-green waters, and dramatic cliffs crowned by a historic watchtower. It’s especially famous for its unforgettable sunsets over the Mediterranean.
Why you’ll love it: Perfect for swimming, relaxing, and water sports like jet skiing and parasailing. The beach has a lively yet spacious feel and is ideal for couples and families alike.

2. Mellieħa Bay (Għadira Bay)
